The
"Bridge Module" as it is affectionately called, links zone A (explanation
of the neuron and intelligence) to zone B (sicknesses that can affect
the human brain). On the right side of the module, in suspended glass
cases are a pair of roller skates, a computer chip,
and a snail; while on the left side there are enlarged models of portions
of the neuron. The goal of the exhibit is to show the visitor that simple
items such as roller skates do not as easily go awry, whereas more complex
things such as a computer chip or the brain do.
